The Gift of Giving is the Best Gift of All
While this season is a time for celebration, many families are in need of assistance from the community more than ever. This year, the Narragansett School System is partnering with the South Kingstown School Department and the
Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale to provide gift cards to local families.
If you are a family that needs help with holiday gifts, you can sign up to be a recipient for the gift card drive by contacting Jenny at the Jonnycake Center at 789-1559 ext.10 or by visiting their offices at 1231 Kingstown Road in Peace Dale. Please sign up
by
November 30th.
If you are a family that would like to donate gift cards, we suggest you purchase gift cards for Walmart, Wakefield Mall retailers, or a VISA/Mastercard gift card. Please mail or deliver cards by
December 5th to the Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale, 1231 Kingstown, Peace Dale, RI 02879. The Center will send you a letter for tax purposes.
Holiday Food Drive
Each school is also taking part in a district-wide food drive. If you would like to support, please connect with your respective school to learn how donations are being collected.
