This week, The Jonnycake Center of Peacedale begins their school vacation meals program which launches today, Tuesday, March 17th at 12 pm for the entire week.  Members can pick up items during regular pantry hours.  They ask that everyone follows their health and safety protocols when visiting the pantry.  If you are sick, please make arrangements for someone to pick up your food. If you would like to make a donation of food, you can do so on Sunday, March 15th between 10 am and 12 pm, Tuesday morning, March 17th, beginning at 9:00 am, and during regular pantry hours.  Items needed include peanut butter and jelly, healthy snacks, soup and crackers, and canned tuna and chicken.

In the Event of Future School Closures:
Our district has been working closely with the Rhode Island Department of Education ad Department of Health in the case school closures remain in effect.  

If schools remain closed, free "Grab and Go" meals will be available starting Monday, March 23, 2020 to students in the Free & Reduced program in Narragansett.  There are no ID or residency requirements, but the child must be present at the pick up.

Grab and Go pick up will take place at the Narragansett High School at 245 S. Pier Road, Narragansett daily between the hours of 10:00-11:00am.  Breakfast and lunch will be distributed at the same time.
